Subject: Recruitment material request
Ahoy, fellow Sea Scouters. A call to assistance is made.
My name is Bob Ocasio, a member of the Sea Scout Committee for the
Chicago Area Council, and a Mate with Sea Scout Ship 5678, Young
America, sponsored by the Columbia Yacht Club.
We here on the shores of lake Michigan are working to build our ranks of
youth members and can use some help.
We are in a situation where program offerings are good to excellent, but
still short on youth members. Something, to which, some of you can
relate. Our committee is producing a short, generic, visual presentation
of the Sea Scout program to be used here in an upcoming recruitment
drive and are requesting your permission to download images posted to
your various websites. While we have a good stock of images from our own
local ships and events here in the midwest, there just isn't the wide
variety of activities as seen on all the coasts. Needless to say, we can
use your help to benefit the program here and would make this available
to those councils/ships in need of like material.
If you can lend a hand by wahy of the use of some of your material,
please contact Mr. Rafael Williams, Sea Scout District Executive, CAC at
(312) 421-8430, X:252 to confirm this request.
You may contact me at one of the following E-mail addresses:
Rafael can supply you with my phone numbers, should you need them.
Your consideration and help will be greatly appreciated.
