SAVE THE DATES: Survival At Sea Gam

Save the Dates
The Sea Scout Squadron of the Connecticut Yankee Council will hold its fall
rendezvous, "The Survival At Sea Gam" at Sheffield Island, Norwalk,
Connecticut on Oct 9 and 10 with the support of the Liberty Wardroom of New
York and New Jersey.
There will be competitive events:
-Lifesaving (Yankee Baywatch)
-Cardboard Boatbuilding and Racing (paper boats)
-Edible Marine Species and Sail Rig Identification (sail it or eat it?)
-Visual and Radio Distress Signal Biathlon (row and run and yell and wave
We will be having our world famous combined lobsterbake and Viking funeral
(see the 13th Warrior) bonfire. Sunday we will be doing a clean-up of
Sheffield Island. Probably the most important evolution of the weekend.
Storm alternative site will be Hoyt Scout Reservation in Redding, Ct.
We are limited to 100 participants. Pack foul weather gear, this ain't the
sunbelt. Fliers will go in the next week to usual suspects and those who
