I hope SD weather was good for your visit.
Some of our SoCal Sea Scouts were up at Coast Guard Island over this holiday
for Ancient Mariner Regatta. If you can ever get out here with your crew,
this is the grandaddy of them all! We'll make sure to have grits on the menu
in your honor.
Lake Julian is fun sailing & warm if you fall in, too. I used to live in
Arden near where Arcadia Dairy used to be. I miss that place.
The SD to Pearl cruise sounds fine! That's one to not miss.Ask if they have
any extra bunks for West Coast Tarheel Sea Scouts. ;-) My ship will be up
to Columbia River thru August, but I have never gotten to go with them on
Summer Cruise so far. I might join them for part of the trip this year.
Good luck with the new program. BTW we have had good luck getting boat
donations by calling for sale ads & offering tax deductible receipts. Got to
kiss a lot of frogs, but sometimes you find a prince(ss).
