Calling all 8200 registered sea scoutes and scouters to sponsor a 20ft Hobie
in the 1000 mile race by catamran from Ft. Lauderdale to Virginia Beach, Va.
Team Sea Scouts will be a 2 person crew, made of Ables, or at least
Ordanaries and backed by a team of road warrior supporters.( Lodging, food,
showers, equipment and parts).
Entrance fee: $500. A tenty foot boat equipped bare bones is about
$8000. The winning teams spend between $35 and 50,000. Lets see, a donation
of $5. from each registered scout for a team of 2 with a horde of supporters
in the shallows, can get us Internatinal Sea Scout coverage. A 18 ft boat
could complete. I have a Hobie 18 that could be used. Any serious adventuers
