Positions are available in Marin (San Francisco Bay Area) for those who
would like to serve on camp staff.
If you are interested in a summer job in the outdoors, teaching sailing or
other aquatic sports, let me know.
Also, please let me know if you would like to go up to one of the camps to
set up lasers (we get to sail them, too!).
>The camping committee is still looking to fill several staff positions
>at our camps. As you know, the camping program is vital not only to
>Scouting as a whole but also to Marin Council's scouts. Here are the
>positions with their age requirements:
>For Marin Sierra, we are looking for a Maintenance Director (18 or
>older) and assistant, commissary staff, handicraft staff (16+), Cope
>staff (16+), 1st year camper staff (16), trading post assistant, and
>numerous CIT's (14+).
>The Cub Camping division is looking for staff for our Day Camps: Archery
>Director for Day Camp #2 (18+), lifeguard for Day Camp #1 (16+),
>numerous Den Chiefs and Area assistants (13+).
>Many of these positions are paid positions. Please ask your Scouts if
>they would apply quickly.
>Another important need is drivers for 15 passenger vans for Day Camps #1
>and #2. We need drivers with Class B licenses or those who are willing
>to get Class B licenses (the Council will pay the license fee). The
>driving obligation would be a couple of hours in the morning and a
>couple of hours in the afternoon for the five days of camp. The
>exception is that we do not need a driver for the last afternoon.
>Let us know how you can help. Call me at 883-2515 (w) or 898-1203 (h) or
>Scott Heinecke at 453-9148 or, of course, the Council office at
>Thank you for your consideration.
