Sorry to take so long to respond to my plea for help. Have an small engine prob
that has been taking up my time lately.
Answers to your questions:
Size of mast - none in particular right now. We have a friend in the used marine
equip biz. He can usually locate just about anything we need. Will be alum most
likely. I think that we will prob look for one with a movable (vertical)
We already have made-up mounts for both boats, and will be installing very soon
and will have backing plates under the deck for added support.
Height above top deck - endless. Only other thing up there is a useless radar
antenna, spotlight, horn and antennas. All are within 4 feet of the front of the
TOp deck: 13'X20"
Distance between decks: 6'6"
There is a small walkway between the wheel house and gunwales - 2'1"
Inflatable: 11"X4'6" Est weight 125#
Dink: 7'8"X 3' est weight 30#
Trying to get some pictures, we have a trip next weekend to the island (engine
permitting!) and should be able to blow off a roll then. I get my pics by email,
and then could email to you.
I figure that if we step it on lower deck and use the wheel house cabin side as
support, will need swing of of about 5 feet. If we go center, need another 5
feet. Either way only will be able to support with stays on two sides, need to
move it at 90 degrees.
I would love to just use a swing arm type of lift. But fear that cost will be
prohibitive. Thats why I thought of using a mast.
Anyway. .. .will try and get those pics.
