I personally believe that when one joins Sea Scouting, you should be at
least 14 years old. I am saying this as a maturity thing. There is a big
difference between 13 and 14. A 14 year old is usually in high school, or
will be enrolling soon. I personally enjoy being with Sea Scouts instead of
younger Boy Scouts because of the maturity factor. There are mature 13 year
olds, but I think the extra year helps, as Sea Scouts do things that a
normal troop would not do because of the age of its members.
Just my opinion.
