Bill Sills asked about knots.
A year and half ago I did an indepth research project for my Commissioner's
College Doctorate. current BSA doctrine allows wear of all earned knots,
there are 32 right now, but there have been others. Knots are worn in rows of
three, with odd rows centered on top. Arrangement is at the descretion of the
wearer, there is no priority.
I had 100 copies of my project published, and have sold almost all at my cost
of $9 each.
the project includes a little history, full size color pictures, and the
necessary form for recommendation.
With the exception of the back of the Scoutmaster's Handbook (which is so
small as to be almost unreadable) there is no place in Scouting literature
that shows this. There are internet sites that offer fair representations.
