What will the main use be for this boat?
1) If local overnighters, we pull the alcohol stove and use a propane on deck.
2) For long overnight or several nights of nonstop sailing, the built-in
pressurized stove is best.
The problems are--stove #1-propane bottles can and do leak causing it to
collect in the bilge--possible explosion danger. Stove #2--alcohol burns with
an invisible flame so is a serious fire hazard and the pressurized stoves even
in perfect condition have been known to explode!
The answer is, of course, proper training, maintenance and diligence.
