I don't have a copy of the latest Sea Scout Manual. 2 years ago my job
moved me to central Texas (Austin, TX area), and unfortunately there are no
ships in this council. Any ways, before that I worked with a ship in
Florida. The old manual had no description of how to tie (or where to find
out how) the monkey's fist and the turk's head. Even though these were
advancement requirements (optional). I found a copy of a knot book for the
ship I was working with. But for others, wouldn't it be a nice idea to
include a description of how to tie these in the manual?
