Finally back in town long enough to answer a question or two and lo and
behold, I can only answer one of the questions.
Jere Woltz asked:
>I have a couple of questions. (1) When and why was the carrick bend
>added to the Quartermaster ribbon?, and (2) can a person be >posthumously
nominated and awarded the Silver Beaver?
I can't answer about the carrick bend, but I can answer about the Silver
Beaver. Nope, it cannot be awarded to someone who's dead. The reference
is found in the current BSA Advancement Procedures Guide.
Hope that helps you some.....
