I certainly must take issue with this.
Tyranny of the Minority. That is an interesting phrase. I have been
warned sevreal times on a private posting in the past few weeks that I
am well on the path to socialism, when I feel that I am supporting my
government whole heartedly. The government's non discrimination policies
have been in play for decades, and were set in place by the majority.
Correct me if i am wrong, but don't we elect officials (in a majority
rule vote) to best represent the public's view? If the public deemed
that there should be no discrimintation, then the politicians make it
so. SO, in short I am saying, we're not suffering from tyranny of the
minority, but more the enforcement of laws that we voted on.
Homosexuality and atheism are fall under the same non-discriminitory
policies as race. They are almost (and i will not say are) one in the
same. That's why "What is your Race?, What sex are you?" are optional
questions on job applications, and "What is your religion?" is illegal
to even have any where near a job application.
