Rough conditions lead to sailing mishaps
EMBARCADERO - A U.S. Coast Guard spokesman said that unusually rough
conditions on the San Francisco Bay on Saturday resulted in a number of
accidents for sailing enthusiasts.
The most serious occurred when a Sea Scouts boat [Viking] capsized in the
bay and dumped seven people in the water, according to the spokesman. Coast
units were able to bring all seven people safely ashore.
