One of the reasons that I had such a great time in Scouting as a boy was
because of the Mariner Girl Scouts. They were tough competitors, very
competent sailors and fun at the Dances following our Bridges of Honour.
Also, they were always better at the boatswain's pipe that the Sea Scouts.
:-) In fact, one is our "Vice Commodore for Bosun's Piping"!!!
So, I put a "Placeholder" web site up for the Mariners Scouts and
Nautical Girl <sic> Guides at http://www.idcnet.com/~whs/Mariners.htm
Any Mariner Scout skipper, Mariner Scout or alumnus may have it
whenever they wish. Also, since I just remember competing, eating and
dancing, any help anyone wishes to provide is beyond welcome!!! <VBG>
