We call on the following to reorganize the Central Flotilla:
(1), Yacht Clubs for their junior sailing program and their "community
(3), Boat Dealers.
(4), Community Sailing Organizations.
(5), Tall ship operators.
The above are always excited about our "canned" program, advancement
requirements, and our excellent accident, vessel and "sponsor" insurance
coverages. The business are shown how community "good will" and free
advertising are part and parcel of chartering a ship. Tall ship
operators like the clear, concise advancement requirements and the
ability to train replacement crew members "in house". Yacht clubs and
CSOs like the insurance, advancement skills, the US Sailing support and
our "in house" US Sailing sail training courses. We also service the CRs
and their ships with our Flotilla Newsletter "Flotsam", my tool free
number and our e-mail availability.
Since all of our regional postions are unofficial, it hasn't been
easy BUT it has been working.
Let me know if you need any details.
