The 'Order of the Trident' is a (currently inactive) effort within the
Baltimore Area Council Sea Exploring Squadron. While a great deal of
effort has been put behind it, as yet there are no members. (Minimum
membership for youth would be Ordinary, and our Squadron only has two Ships
that regularly turn out Ordinaries.)
If you'd like to get more information about it, you can contact the
council Commodore, Ed Wright. Ed's telephone number is 410-850-4271. (He
isn't on the 'net yet.)

I have heard rumors about an organization within Sea Exploring called
the "Order of the Trident" as well as a recent posting discussing the
"Order of the Monkey's Fist". Can anyone provide information about either
of these groups?
My son and i shared a lot of good fun and service as members of the
Order of the Arrow. However, as you may be aware, female youth may not
participate in this organization. I feel that the concept of "cheerful
service" is a welcome addition to any young person's character. Further,
this type of organization would help promote more involvement in Sea
Exploring in my area.
I would like to start up a chapter in my Council, but do not have even
the basic knowledge of what the group is, bylaws, who to contact, or how it
works. Can anyone help? Thank you.
