The Fairfield County Council will be offering an adult leader orientation
course known officially as the Sea Explorer Leader Specialized Training
(SELST) on Saturday September 20 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Regional
Vice-Commodore Bob Sirhal will be the chief instructor. The location will
be at the Scout Service Center in Norwalk at 362 Main Street.
Call council (203) 847-2445 or myself (203) 259-3569 for directions.
Normally adult leaders take the Explorer Leader Basic training first, but
we are waiving that prerequisite for this class (you should take when you
have the opportunity). We will be supplementing the course with the child
abuse instruction block.
Students should wear uniforms, or appropriate unit identification apparel.
RSVP with numbers (203) 259-3569 evenings.
