In regards to sailing to Chile, why don't you find out more info about a
flotilla that sailed to the World Jamboree in Holland. It stared in Norway
and before entering the North Canal they were joined by other craft from
other Scandinavian countries. The distance that these people travelled is
no where near as far but the logistics are basically the same. Are you going
to collect more sailing vessels and sea scouts from other countries as you
The other question that I noticed not mentioned is how are you going to
select the youth members? Is it those going to the WJ only? Or will be for
those who are not a part of the official contingent, so therefore sailing
back and forth plus changing crews in Chile, and visiting the site only?
The other factor is will HQ allow official participants sail down instead of
flying with the official contingent? And the big question how does this
effect school work? Questions that need to be looked at in detail before the
boat leaves the dock.

PS. I think sailing to and from Chile is a great thing to do and I wish I
can join you.
