The following in the Fairfield County Council are happily and traditionally
And newly formed Ship 71 currently intends to be traditionally uniformed.
Dress Blues (crackerjacks) are worn from Labor Day until the day
before Memorial Day. Dress Whites are worn from Memorial Day to the
day before Labor Day. Dress uniforms are worn once a month for
meetings, at all ceremonial occasions (parades, yacht club openings,
color guards, funerals, church services), and at other appropriate
occasions when in public view.
Working uniforms vary widely from unit to unit. Many wear chambray
shirts, at least one wears specially silk-screened T-shirts too. Work
uniforms are worn cruising in sight of land and at the other non-dress
meetings of the month.
