This is what I was ACTUALLY trying to say.
So what if a leader is sometimes intimidating...I think the fact that they
are held responsible for anything bad that might happen (regardless of
who's fault it actually is) seems like a pretty intimidating job. So, let
the leaders be intimidating...It might be what keeps us safe and might aid
in the avoidance of controversies between youth. Parents are intimidating,
Judges are intimidationg, Police Officers are intimidating, High School
Principles are intimidating, but Parents love us and help us grow up,
Judges make sure that justice prevails, Police Officers protect us and try
to resolve disputes peacefully, Principles keep order within a school to
make learning more pleasent. Why can't a Skipper or leader be
intimidating? They all have to act as a judge of what is right, they have
to make sure everyone is getting along, and they have to give us the
opportunity to learn in a somewhat chaos free environment. If Sea Scouts
isn't something one likes, they don't have to stay in...Join a sailing club
