As you know, we have been attempting to develop a useable Sea Scout
Ship data base for the Central Region. I have been attempting to contact
every local council in our seventeen states. All Exploring Executives
and all skippers, with only a single exception, have been very
understanding and cooperative. Unfortunately, my information is often
obsolete shortly after I have entered it into my data base. Sometimes,
it is inaccurate at the time it's provided to me. Knowing and
understanding those problems and accepting them as caveats, the
following is the latest information about ships in Indian that I have
obtained within the last six months:
(1), Skipper Jerry Landseabel, SSS Bottoms Up, 3440 N 150 West RD,
Kokomo, IN 46901, (317)+452-1200; (2), Skipper David Lawrence, SSS
Michigan, 3507 S Iroquois RD, Michigan City, IN 46360 (219)+879-4007,
(219)+881-6720, email@example.com; (3), Skipper Fred Boynton,
SSS 505, St Joseph Church, 226 Hill St, South Bend, IN 46617,
(219)+232-7075; and (4), Skipper Ernest Snyder, SES 542, 1933 Main St,
Kokomo, IN 46902 (317)+452-7474.
There are some additional units in the state but I don't believe
they're operating as ships. Also, our oldest unit, SES 2 at US Steel
Corp, has lapsed.
Hopefully, my data base will be fairly accurate in May/June.
