The official uniform at the time of the discontinuance of our standards
was the US Naval style with Sea Explorer buttons, insignia, etc. to
distinguish it from that of the US Navy. Generally, ships cresw wore the

or the blue uniform with the "Bob Evans" (Dixie Cup)hat for dress.
