UPDATE - FCC Squadron Spring Rendezvous

SAVE THE DATE. June 14/15
The Fairfield County Council Sea Exploring Squadron will be holding its
Spring Rendezvous at Captain's Cove, Black Rock Harbor, Bridgeport,
Connecticut on June 14 and 15. (This marina is the new home of the
Nantucket Lightship.) Sail in if you can, though event is accessible by
Competition among composite crews as usual. There will however be
one, perhaps two inter-ship competitions. Among other inter-crew
competition, Morse receiving using computer application. There will be
an opportunity for individuals to be designated "Squadron Navigator" by
taking a standard USPS test and acquiring some token. Top scorer will
get a cup.
SPECIAL UPDATE: Little River Boat company will be providing rowing
instruction using a half dozen single sculls (one oarsman sliding seat
racing rowboats) as well as their new heritage traditional rowing dory.
Little River will be providing the same instruction at the National
Ships attend to their own berthing and messing. (Captain's Cove Marina
has its own restaurant which is not open for breakfast.)
Drive-in Ships will be able to go sailing as guests of sail-in Ships on
Sunday wind and weather permitting.
Liberty cuff patches as always. There is a tattoo parlor on the wharf for
the truly salty.
