Fellow Northeast Region Sea Scouters:
The following message relays a boat donation offer. Respond directly to
The vessel I'd like to donate is a 1974 Penn Yan Avenger flybridge
cruiser. The boat operates well but I just bought a house and don't have
time to give it the attention it needs. I'm in the process of restoring
it. All systems are functional and the hull is sound. The engine has been
maintained and runs great, a Ford 351W. The boat has "Tunnel drive" and
will run in 18 inches of water.
I noticed that most of the Ships operate larger vessels and was hoping the
Sea Scouts could utilize something smaller. The boat is stored in New
Castle, DE in a high and dry marina. The storage is paid up to May 2000.
Thanx for your help. I hope the sea scouts can use such a boat.
PS: Please keep my personal information within the Sea Scout organization.
