Every Troop or Team has a program highlight...a special trip, summer camp,
or other "high

According to Senior Patrol Leader Rusty Moore, the 32 boys of the
community's oldest Boy Scouting Troop will be participating in weekly
activities and training events getting them ready for participation in a
special fall break encampment at Camp Brown Candey, followed by a spring
break encampment in the Great Smoky Mountains and their regular two weeks

Boy Scouting is available to males in middle and high school whom are
looking for a challenge and non-traditional ways of exploration. First
Christian Church has sponsored, or chartered, the Scouts since 1947 as a
community service and as part of their religious program.
Troop 000 camps 6 times a year and takes part in community service
activities in New City 6 times during the year.
For more information on becoming a part of this outdoor and community
activity, contact Scoutmaster Frank Davies at 502-555-0230 or stop by First
Christian Church, 101 Main Street, New City any Monday
evening from 6 to 9pm.
