Not only that, but my understanding is that, if the UW agrees to
sponsor (or whatever they call it) an organization (like BSA) they do
it with a specific dollar amount. So lets say that that UW agrees to
send $10,000 to your council. Now you flag your $1,000 donation to
your council, guess what they still get $10,000 of which $1,000 is
yours (in theory). What happens is when you designate a recipient,
your money goes to that recipient and the same amount of "un-targeted"
money goes elsewhere. The only way your council COULD get more than
the $10,000 is if there was MORE than $10,000 TARGETED to them, and I
don't know if they would get more even then.
