A Scouteer seeks input on writing troop bylaws:
Less is better. big book of stuff is annoying and nitpicky and invites
people to search for loopholes, thus making other people upset and resentful
that "they got away with that" and necessitating further tedious meetings to
hash out ever-more minute rules. You can avoid this entire sorry process by
adopting the following as your bylaws"
"A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient,
cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.
"On my honor, I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country.."
...you get the idea.
Any actions that are taken by Scout or Scouter should be looked at thru this
lens. This should cover any eventuality.
