Backpacking Requirements 10 and 11a read:
10. Take three backpacking treks. Each must consist of at least
3 days duration with two different overnight campsites, and
each must cover at least 15 miles. Carry everything you will
need throughout the trek.
11. Do the following:
a. In addition, assist in planning and take a backpacking trek
of at least 5 days with at least three different campsites,
and covering at least 30 miles. Your written plan submitted
to your counselor must include route, food and menus,
equipment, and emergency notification. Prepare lightweight,
reasonably priced trail menus. Carry everything you need
throughout the entire trek.
Hiking requirements 5 & 6 (and the footnote to those requirements) read:
5. Take five hikes, each on a different day, and each of at least
ten continuous miles. Prepare a hike plan for each hike.*
6. Take a hike of 20 continuous miles in one day following a hike
plan you have prepared.*
* The hikes in requirements 5 and 6 can be used in fulfilling
Second Class (2a) and First Class (3) rank requirements, but
only if Hiking merit badge requirements 1, 2, 3, and 4 have
been completed to the satisfaction of your counselor. The hikes
of requirements 5 and 6 cannot be used to fulfill requirements
of other merit badges.
NO. Note the last sentence of the footnote. The Hikes used for Hiking
MB may NOT be used for other merit badges. That also means that hikes
used for other merit badges may not be used for Hiking MB. Therefore,
the trip counts only as ONE trek toward Backpacking MB.

YES. There is nothing that says that the hikes in 10 and 11a must be in
sequence, and the requirement for 10 specifically says AT LEAST 3 days,
and AT LEAST 15 miles. A 6 day - 30 mile trek meets those criteria.

NO. It is part of a hike of at least 3 days and 15 miles, used for
Backpacking MB, and thus can not be used for Hiking MB.
