A couple of thoughts on assignments...
First, you must have a lot of stuff to assign two adults to work with the
quartermasters (plural). I would like to have that problem.
Second, I would assign two adults to the Venture patrol. In that way, if
they wish to do their own activities on a campout and such, they have their
two-deep leadership with them. Some may quibble about whether or not this
is necessary--but why take that chance?
Similarly, I would assign two adults to the new scout patrol, as well as the
troop guide. Everywhere the NSP patrol leader goes, the guide goes with
The remaining adults I would keep inthe wings. I certainly wouldn't want
EVERYONE on the campout--some boys need (and I like) having boys on campouts
without dad there all the time. A camping rotation, with 3 or 4 per
campout, for example, might be an interesting solution.
An 18 year old can, in my opinion, fill any of the above roles.
