I'll get in on this too.
Where does First Class Reqmt. 4a says the Scout has to cook any of the meals to
satisfy this requirement?
The requirement is to "Help plan a patrol menu for one campout--including one
breakfast, lunch, and dinner--that requires cooking. Tell how the menu includes
the foods from the food pyramid and meets nutritional needs."
The way I read this particular requirement, the Scout has to help plan a patrol
menu for one campout but he doesn't have to cook any of the meals to satisfy
Now, in First Class Reqmt. 4e, he must, "One one campout, serve as your patrol's
cook. Supervise your assistants(s) in using a stove or building a cooking
fire. Prepare the breakfast, lunch, and dinner planned in requirement 4a. Lead
your patrol in saying grace at the meals and supervise cleanup."
Seems pretty clear to me. The Scout does (or helps) with the planning under
Reqmt. 4a and then does the actual cooking of the three meals to satisfy Reqmt.
