Something we have done and is memorable is present each Eagle Scout a Silver
Eagle Coin for the year that they receive their Eagle rank. It makes for a
nice token that they can carry as a reminder or place on display.

Subject: What do you buy for an Eagle?
+AD4-Hello the list+ACE-
+AD4- Well, we are getting closer and closer to our very first Eagle
+AD4-Scout in Troop 379. We've been working toward this for 7 years now and
+AD4-finally have a Scout who has completed all the requirements and
+AD4-paperwork. Just waiting for paperwork to be approved and a Board of
+AD4-Review to be set up. We also have four more who are Life and just
+AD4-need a few things for Eagle. As we approach this milestone, we are
+AD4-starting to consider things like+ADs- what should the troop provide for
+AD4-the new Eagle? I understand that there is a standard Eagle
+AD4-presentation box with the cloth badge and medal, but I'm not sure
+AD4-exactly what is included in that box. Also, what do some of you do for
+AD4-new Eagles? Do you provide the Eagle neckerchief? A plaque? Other?
+AD4-Any suggestions would be appreciated.
