I've been lurking for quite some time now and am actually wondering how I
will ever get to read all these digests that keep piling up. Great bunch of
folks here: I do get inspiration from the list and some good ideas, too.
Troop 2 just got back from one of the best summer camp weeks I've ever
experienced! No discipline or language problems, great interaction with
other Troops, 1st place in Aqua Maneuvers, bears in the site, good food,
excellent staff, hiking, swimming, fishing, archaeology, climbing,
injury-free woodcarving MB, a hard-earned Lifesaving MB, inspired and
enthusiastic campfires, helped finish siding a building, made new friends,
renewed old friendships.
Years of work all came together this week. I felt honored to be able to help
deliver meaningful experiences to these young men and to just watch them
grow. This Scoutmaster stuff is pretty cool.
Best of all, the cell phone wouldn't work!
