Yes, why turn Scouts into more paperwork for the adults to keep up with?
If someone feels a burning need to push paper, I've got 8 boxes of it
that want sorting and filing. (g)
What's wrong with a casual word dropped innocently into the parents' ear?
You know, "Man, I thought sure Jimmy would get at least one merit badge at
camp! Have you had any bug-juice yet?" or "Tommy sure is acting subdued
tonight, is he OK?" works really well, when all Tommy is doing is
behaving himself. If we make parents defensive, they tune out, turn on,
and drop out. (As someone famous once phrased it).
