Subject: Red Cross First Aid and CPR Certification
As a scout leader it is a very good idea to become trained and
certified in First Aid and CPR. The American Red Cross offers
special classes on these subjects that are run in many local
A typical Red Cross Adult CPR and First Aid course is made up
of components of Community First Aid and Safety. Students
successfully completing this course will receive an ADULT CPR
certificate valid for one (1) year and a STANDARD FIRST AID
certificate valid for three (3) years. The typical Red Cross
cost of this course is $52 and takes 7 hours to complete.
Many local Boy Scout Councils also offer CPR and First Aid
training at a reduced group rate, check with your council for
