Two thank yous:
1) Thank you for saying the above. There seems to be nothing more ingrained
in some people than the idea that the boys are incapable of accepting
responsibility. Give them a reason to respect you and the responsibility
given to them, and you will see how wrong that idea is! Do boys sometimes
fail at this? Yes, but no more often than you or I do!
In any seemingly trivial issue there can be found undying implications and
opportunities to rethink our assumptions.
2) Thank you for giving me focus and a solution to a long standing issue;
cotton pants and other "inappropriate" wear on backpackers. I do believe
that at the next Leadership Council the boys just might adopt the SMs
"suggestion" ;-) that we adopt zip-off pants as our official activity
