Bob Rosebrough sent in an article that someone else
wrote, that said:
<Conversely, "Boys are three times as likely as girls
to be enrolled in special education programs and four
times as likely to be diagnosed with attention
deficit/hyperactivity disorder," finds Sommers. They
are more likely to be involved in drugs and crime, to
kill themselves and to drop-out of school or be
Being privy to the latest research data regarding
AD/HD, I have to take issue with the above author's
seriously out of date facts. I have just today
received a packet from CHADD National (Children and
Adults with Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity
giving the very latest of informational facts.
For those of you not familiar with me, I am a Chapter
Coordinator of a 140 member support group for adults
and parents of children that have AD/HD. I do this in

Sorry if I sound irritated. You've hit a hot button
of mine. People that try to appear to know what they
are talking about in regards to AD/HD, when in fact
they know next to nothing! It is very irresponsible of
them, and can cause irreparable damage to a child or
parent that might read such nonsense.
I certainly hope that I've not upset anyone by stating
my opinions. If anyone is interested in more VALID
AD/HD data, please feel free to contact me off list.
