I was going to say that this trek was in direct violation of the GSS, but
when I looked it up the statement is "Coed overnight activities require
both male and female adult leaders, both of whom must be 21 years of age or
By the letter of the rule, this crew was not coed - it was single gender -
and the GSS does not come out and say that the advisers' gender must match
the crew's gender.
