In a perfect world I would put it at a major airport, such as Chicago or St
Louis so people could visit it on their down time between flights but
that's probably not practical due to the cost of space in airport areas.
However, it does bring to mind the thought that since the collection is
going into storage anyway, perhaps the museum could work out a travelling
show with the best items to tour between airports for the next few years
until a new permanent home is established. Quite a few airports seem to
have such things - at SFO recently there have been exhibits of sports
memorabilia and a collection of 1950's kid's lunchboxes. If a memorabilia
tour could be organized it might be a good PR gesture, and certainly the
BSA image could use a little sprucing up in the public mind.
