Ahhhh.....the power of the Pack Committee. The answer is actually pretty
simple. IF the WDL is not serving the Pack well, the Pack CC should meet
with the COR. The COR is responsible for approving leadership positions.
If the COR determines that the WDL is not serving the Pack well, s/he
should be asked to step down by the COR. The Pack Committee should call
all the parents of the affected den and ask them to come to a meeting to
discuss how the leadership of the Den will be handled/assigned/recruited.
The parents need to be assured that the committee still considers them a
part of the Pack and that the committee is dedicated to the principle of
providing the best possible experience for their sons. The Den DOES NOT
DISBAND simply because a WDL has a problem with the Pack. THAT DEN STILL
EXISTS IN YOUR PACK. IF the parents want to switch Packs, forward all
awards and records to the Pack CC which they actually join. That request
should come from the new Pack's CC or CM. IF they do not actually join a
pack, mail all awards to the boys who are no longer Webelos Cub Scouts and
wish them well.
