My son has applied for the privilege to drive to school. Part of the
agreement is the school's ability to search the car for what ever reason,
whenever they want. If you don't feel this is within the schools "rights",
you don't have to honor the agreement.meaning You Don't Drive To School.
Remember, driving is a privilege and not a right. >>
Accepting this as similar to the policy in that school and noting, for
example, that I believe the Supreme Court has decided that searches of school
lockers without a warrant is acceptable, I can't believe that the school
searches every car, every day, thoroughly. Why did the school decide to
search that particular locked car that particular day? Particularly since
the student was an honor student, Eagle Scout, etc.
Admiral Nelson knew how to turn a blind eye. I suspect he will be
remembered much longer than individuals who sacrifice Eagle Scouts on the
altar of "zero tolerance."
