questions, but several things come to mind.
Remembering my own sons attitudes when they had just
gotten their own cars, he probably wanted to show his
independance. Do we know that he drove his car on the
outing? Maybe he simple drove it to and from the
As for why he didn't get his car completely cleaned
out? Well, maybe he was overwhelmed with church
meeting, household chores, homework, and family
responsibilities when he returned. Some churches have
Sunday evening meetings. Maybe he rushed and managed
to get most of his personal gear out of the car, but
forgot those few items. Who knows, maybe his troop is
one that doesn't have troop gear, so he also had to
unpack a tent and take care of drying it out, etc?
Personally I feel that we would need a lot more
details to really judge what the problem was. I am
simply happy to hear that it appears to be working out
in a semi-positive manner.
