In response to an earlier posting favoring a
Sewing MB, I am in favor a badge to emphasize
home survival skills. I was involved for a short
time with a group called Royal Rangers. They have
an award called the Bachelor Badge (or something
similar). I thought that the BSA could use a
Merit Badge like that.
Proposed: Bachelor Life Merit Badge (Alt. Eagle
1. Properly run a vacuum sweeper. Properly empty
or change the bag. Properly clean and store the
vacuum sweeper. Sweep your entire home using a
vacuum sweeper. Do this once a week for one

outside (if it is safe to do so).

toilet and floor of the bathroom you use in your

store your own clothes for one month. Include
your sheets, towels, and other cloth items you

lost in the dryer.

(to your counselor�s satisfaction).
6. Sew the following to the satisfaction of your
counselor (you may use a machine):
 Patch onto your uniform. The patch must
be properly positioned, and sewn so that it
doesn�t fall off.

12. Properly dispose of the household trash for
one month. This includes all of the trashcans in
