There are five in uniform in my family, so I know where you're at.
However, I have trained my husband and oldest son to sew on their own
patches, and I'm working on #2 son. Come to think of it, #3 (new Bear
Scout) isn't too young to start learning. . .

Agreed. Those are NOT fun to sew on!

Consider trying Aleene's No-Sew Fabric Glue. It's designed specifically
for the purpose of temporarily attaching two pieces of fabric together
while you complete the permanant stitching. It then washes out of your
fabric at the next washing (so don't try to use this for permanent
