I believe that a good summer camp experience is not only the key to
retaining new scouts and strengthening the bonds of all the boys in the
troop, but, also the perfect place to provide the opportunity for a good
Scoutmaster and boy leaders to "turn around" disruptive boys.
Remember, a "disruptive" child is most often a child in need, and that need
is most often a caring and supportive adult who can guide him to become a
valuable member of the troop.
No, it doesn't always work, and you can't compromise the camp experience of
the whole troop , but, the lesson that all are worthy of a chance, will not
be lost on either the "good" or "bad" boys.
YiS for all.
