That's about right...I'm not too familiar with the Kentucky Guard's "summer
camp" schedule, but that sounds about right.

Then, how about staying on campus at Murray State University?? If you call
early enough, you may be able to get a few rooms in one of the men's
residence halls, or a
classroom for the night. I know that as a former residence hall manager,
that we would put up small groups in our lobby area if it's on a weekend.
I've also put up Scout units on our second floor landing.
You might want to call and talk with the Murray State Housing office and see
if that's possible for one night. With a small group, you stand a better
chance, since they don't have to put out too much. With a campus tour, and
perhaps dinner on campus, you can make this "change of plans" work for you
and your Scouts...and at the same time, be right there to visit the National
Scouting Museum the following day.
If the University doesn't pan out, you might consider staying at Fort
Campbell, which is only an hour's drive to the south of the University.
Fort Campbell has two facilities available for visiting Scouting units as
well as outdoor camping sites (which you can't use because you have no
