Those are pretty good guidelines.

As SM, you should be siding with the PLC. Boy Scouting is Scout run,
they should plan most of the program. See your Scoutmaster's Handbook
and Troop Committee Guidebook. Have them stick to their job discriptions.
I don't see anywhere where it says, for example, that the committee
sets the menu on a campout. That is really a Patrol's job.
