The Camping and Hiking Merit badge Pamphlets were NOT revised this year.
Only the requirements for those badges were revised. The current books
for both Camping and Hiking are the 1997 revisions.
There is a new Climbing Book #35001A, dated 1999, and the new Personal
Fitness book #33286A, also dated 1999.
The only other new books issued this year were Bird Study, Weather, and
The Merit Badge pamphlets are NOT revised every time the requirements
change. Only the Boy Scout REQUIREMENTS Book which is updated annually
(#33215C dated 2000 is the current version) contains the up to date
requirements for all merit badges and other advancements.
