NATIONAL JAMBOREE STAFF OPPORTUNITY
National Jamboree Media Communication Staff looking for web site
designer / technologist.
If you have gobs of Scouting and web design experience, consider
this staff opportunity at the National Scout Jamboree, July 19 ?
August 1, 2001, in Spotsylvania County, Virginia. OK, we aren't
sure what gobs means either, but consider this:
> The Jamboree 2000 website staff seeks applicants for our
> final staff position. Applicants should have strong
> multimedia interface design experience as applied to
> websites. Strong background in web usability factors
> is desirable. Applicants should have a creative background
> and portfolio in visual communication such as photojournalism,
> multimedia design, or web design.
In fact, the web guys (Web site section of the Media Communication
Staff) are looking for someone who is both creative with an
artist's practiced eye as well as experienced in graphics
interface and HTML. The product will be daily additions to
the national jamboree web site including action photos, Scout
actualities, audio, video, and more. Scouts and Scouters
around the world who can't join us at Ft. A. P . Hill for
the big event will be able to join us via the internet in
a very youth friendly web site.
The person selected will be part of a small team working under
deadline crunches but having a great time interfacing with other
media sections and gathering material from the whole Jamboree.
What a contribution you can make while putting your energy and
efforts into a great web site!
JAMBOREE STAFF APPLICATIONS are available from and must be
submitted through your local council. Indicate your interest
in NATIONAL STAFF and list MEDIA COMMUNICATIONS as your
