Maybe it's just something about Civil War battlefields. The two
incidents I discussed in my previous post were at Antietam and
Gettysburg.Though we've gotten damage at other places as well.
As I said before Timberlines are good tents, I would take cautions
however when setting them up in open field areas for just the reasons
many of us have sited. In wooded areas or where they can avoid getting
hit by direct high winds I never had any problems with them. with the
exception of falling limbs, but that's not a fault of the tent design.
