We use a sailmakers thread for whipping cord. It's a poly product that is
wax coated. I buy it in spools that are about 2-3" in diameter and 4-5
inches long. There is a sailing/boating store here in Atlanta that sells
it. I'm sure there are mail-order places that would have it, I just don't
follow that sport enough to know.
If you can't find anything contact me off-list and I'll call the store and
find out about mail-order possibilities.
